Group Gathering- 8th Feb 2020 (RSVP Required)

Our next group gathering is scheduled for Saturday, 8th Feb 2020 (10am- onwards) @ Toowoomba Art Society (Godsall St).
Please set aside some additional time on this date (we won’t be finishing at 2pm) as there is a lot planned. Firstly, Ute will run us through how to develop new ideas for artworks and how to develop your own unique style. Betty had kindly volunteered to run participants through the process of developing their own artist statement. Finally, we will attend a behind-the-scenes excursion to the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery to view some of the larger prints in their collection. Plenty of inspiration to be had and a good starting point for beginning to work on our own large works for our 10-year-Anniversary Exhibition: ‘X’

Annual membership fee due- February 2020

Just a friendly reminder that our annual membership fee of $10 is due no later than Saturday 29th Feb.

This fee is separate to the Toowoomba Art Society’s membership fee and helps to ensure the club is able to maintain our printing presses and make some communal resources available for members to use (e.g. rollers).

Our annual membership fee can be paid via online transfer to the following account. Please ensure the subject contains: your surname and the word membership.

As our printing room is located at TAS, being a member of TAS ensures you only have to pay $2 each time you visit rather than $5 for Non-TAS members. This small fees goes toward covering electricity costs and tea/coffee etc.

 

2020 Calendar of Events- Now Live!

First group gathering for 2020!

Welcome all Toowoomba Printmakers! 2020 marks a very special year for our club, being the 10 year anniversary of the ‘Saturday Printmakers’ being established. Our first group gathering for the year is on this Sunday 19th January, 10-2pm @ Toowoomba Art Society (Godsall St). Our calendar of events will be unveiled, including the various print swaps and our large-scale exhibition project for the year.

All are welcome! For those thinking of joining this is a good meet and greet session to attend & an opportunity to be introduced to our A2 printing press.

Please bring a plate to share- $2 for members or $5 for non-members payable to the Toowoomba Art Society (TAS) for tea/coffee etc on the day.
