July 2019 – The Saturday Printmakers

Inkwell Exhibition Set Up….

Our exhibition opening is this Saturday 3rd August at 2pm (Toowoomba Art Society, 1 Godsall St). All works are now hung and we thank the team of volunteer members for helping to frame and particularly the Toowoomba Art Society team for helping to hang and label the work. Many hands make light work, so thank you!

In the coming weeks, we will post photos of a number of the framed works available for purchase. The exhibition can be viewed Tuesday- Friday (9-12pm), Saturdays & Sundays (10-2pm), until the 25th August 2019. Please note, the gallery will also be closed for a life drawing event on Sunday 4th August….

06.07.2019 Interstate Print Swap- Saturday Printmakers & Warringah Printmakers Studio

Participating artists recently received a diverse range of prints from our interstate print swap with Warringah Printmakers Studio, Sydney. The swap focused on the theme ‘Place’ with prints submitted utilising the techniques of collagraph, drypoint, embossing, etching, linocut, lithograph, photopolymer plate and/or woodcut. With 16 participants overall, it was a larger edition size than the Saturday Printmakers annual print swaps among local members.

Thank you to all participants for their beautiful work, and special thanks to Warringah Printmakers and our president for liaising and arranging this calendar event. Happy Printmaking everyone!
