Rush Art Competition- Gympie- Entries close 15th September 2017!


‘This annual competition is a highlight on the Gallery calendar and features nine sections with over $10,000 prize money.

This year the Open Award for a painting with any subject or any medium attracts a $5000 cash prize sponsored by the Gympie Regional Council and the Friends of the Gympie Regional Gallery.

Local businesses, individuals and organisations sponsor the remaining sections.

The competition exhibition is on view from 11 – 28 October with the opening night on Wednesday 11 October, with doors opening at 6pm for 7pm start.

Check out the many Public Programs on while the competition is on view, including an Oil Painting Workshop with renowned Melbourne based artist Ross Paterson on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October, Sketch Crawl on Sunday 28 October and Judges Discussion on Thursday 12 October.

Additional Info

Access: Please enter via the main front door of the Gallery

Opening hours: The Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

Seating: Limited seating is available.

Parking details: Limited parking is available behind the Gallery with additional parking available in Nash Street.

Disability access: Disability parking in the carpark at rear of building, ramp access via the side of the building, lift access to the first floor. Disability bathroom on the first floor adjacent the lift.
