Copper Sulphate Etching Play Day!

On the 1st April 2017, several current and prospective members joined together to learn about the process of copper sulphate printmaking and each developed and printed a test plate demonstrating a diverse range of experimental techniques.

With some care, patience and several cups of tea whilst waiting we prepared the copper sulphate bath to the required strength. Participants learned the importance of attention to detail in keeping a close eye on times to get plates in and out of the etching bath. Thank you to everyone who attended, bringing their creativity and good humour along for the day!
