Photopolymer Printmaking- Scratchboard Plates

Hi Everyone,
For those who completed Dianne Longley’s photopolymer printmaking workshop in early 2016, you may recall that we used scratchboards to create prints consisting of fine lines/marks. One challenge of using scratchboards is their tendency to curl due to their thin card/paper backing.
Murrays Art (located in Ruthven Street, Toowoomba) has recently begun stocking the Ampersand products which include scratchboards (see above image) which are a clay-coated hardboard panel. These boards are sturdy and do not curl making them potentially ideal for drawing and/or scanning. Panel sizes vary. However, a 5-7 inch panel approximately costs $6.40. For further information please see here:
Let me know if you try this product and how it compares to the traditional scratchboard sheets.
